I’m not going to beat you over the head with numbers, but here are a few strongly-framed suggestions to maximize your social media footprint:
Create & Integrate. First off, you must create pages/feeds/sites/channels that will provide appropriate brand recognition. As entrepreneurs, I won’t impress upon you the need to have a plan of attack before jumping in. After you create, integrate! This is done by embedding different feeds or links leading back to website so that consumers can immediately gain access to what you have to offer.
Engage. Social media allows you the ability to connect with a wide market, allowing you to directly engage with customers and appeal to their interests. Entertain them with your content, be forthright with feedback! Nurture these connections now – reap the benefits through brand promotion.
Advertise. Duh! Direct marketing is an avenue to be used through social media, just try not to go crazy. Email blasts and text blasts are still viable methods of getting the word out, so use that to your advantage!
Promote. Once you have the attention of your customers, it might be good to use social media for customer-grabbing promotions! Need I say more? I will anyway – build a base through customer satisfaction, expand that base with promotions.
Serve Your Customers. A critical piece of the puzzle. Another benefit of engaging through social media is the all-important feedback loop. Both you and the customer benefit from open and honest communication, so make sure to provide methods for your audience to get in touch with you!
